Principal Drew Terry

Meet Principal Drew Terry!

Principal Terry has been in education for over 30 years. He started his career in the Kent School District and joined the Issaquah School District as an assistant principal at Maywood Middle School in 2003. He then became principal at Briarwood Elementary and was there for 12 years. During the past 6 years he has been the principal at Cougar Ridge Elementary. He enjoys having a "nickname" for students at school which helps build connections with students and their families.

Mr. Terry loves sports, especially football! He has so much knowledge about it that he enjoys using this trivial information during Pizza Bingo Nights at school. Mr. Terry is also an avid lover of all sports and specifically enjoys golf, pickleball and number puzzles. He loves a frosted pop tart, a hazelnut hot chocolate and cooking/barbecuing for his very well deserved staff.

Mr. Terry believes in making an inclusive community and above all treating each other with kindness and respect.
